Are There Any Foods Without Calories?

August 4, 2020 by Karen Hill

Not unless you include water as a food. Only water and club soda have absolutely no calories. Coffee and tea have almost none, just one or two calories for every 100 grams, or about 31/2 ounces.

Among vegetables, artichokes have the least calories, about seven per 100 grams. A sour or dill pickle has 10 or 11 calories per 100 grams, cooked – zucchini has 12 calories, and raw lettuce has 13 calories per 100 grams.

Other foods that have less than 20 calories per 100 grams include cooked cabbage, celery, summer squash, cucumbers, and radishes.

The foods with the most calories per 100 grams are lard, with 902 calories; salad oil, with 884; and butter, with 876!
