Can you die from a black widow spider bite?

March 20, 2020 by Karen Hill

You can die from a black widow spider bite, but most people who have been bitten don’t.

Although a female black widow is not particularly aggressive (and the males are harmless), she will bite in self-defense and is quite poisonous.

The effect of her bite is painful and frightening, and there isn’t much that can medically be done to reverse the process.
