How long was the Mayflower’s voyage from England to Cape Cod New England?

June 9, 2020 by Karen Hill

It took the Mayflower 66 days to get from England to Cape Cod, New England.

That meant the boat was traveling at about two miles per hour throughout the trip, which isn’t too bad considering the strong Gulf Stream and the stormy weather during the September/October season.

One hundred years later, the fastest clippers were making the exact same voyage going no faster than about three miles per hour.
