From top to bottom, the colors in a rainbow are: red, orange, yellow, green, blue, and violet.
Except in the case of double rainbows, which occur when light reflects off another set of raindrops and forms an outer rainbow that’s a pale imitation of the original.
The color sequence in the reflected rainbow is reversed blues on the outside, then yellows, with the reds forming the inside of the arch.
Next time you see a rainbow, try to spot all the different colors, then make a wish.
