Does a Camelopard Really Exist?

June 22, 2020 by Karen Hill

If you were to guess what an animal called the camelopard might look like, you’d probably say it resembled a camel and a leopard.

And you’d be right! A camelopard has a long neck like a camel, and spots like a leopard. You say you’ve never seen such a beast? Sure you have.

Camelopard is the name that was used in ancient times for the creature we now call the giraffe!
