How Many Diamond Mines Are There In the United States?

There is just one diamond mine in the United States, in Murfreesboro, Arkansas.

Visitors can hunt for and keep any diamonds they find there.

Diamonds were discovered in 1906 in Crater of Diamonds State Park, and by 1933, about 100,000 were found.

The 1,000 year old Ka-Do-Ha Indian Village and museum is also located in Murfreesboro.

The population of Murfreesboro was about 1,764 in 2000.
