What are Native Americans doing to improve living conditions on reservations?

May 8, 2020 by Karen Hill

Across North America, tribal governments and activist groups are trying to help make the lives of reservation Native Americans better.

They have created many programs dedicated to improving the housing, education, and employment opportunities available on reservations.

Many of these programs are funded by the federal government, but others are financed by business concerns run by tribes. In recent years, the most profitable tribal businesses have been casinos and bingo parlors.
