The Black Hills is a mountain range that lies in western South Dakota and northeastern Wyoming.
These mountains are called black because they look so dark when viewed from a distance, an effect created by dense pine forests and deep valleys.
The highest peak in the range, Harney Peak, is 7,242 feet (2,520 m) high.
Nebraska has the only state legislature to have just one house, not the usual two, a house of representatives and a senate.
This one-house form of government is known as unicameral.
