Which parts of the Lady Goldiva story were myths and which were true?

All the extra bits of the Lady Goldiva story were embellishments of prudish churchmen in the 17th century.

You know the elements:

At noon on the appointed day, the streets were completely cleared of people;

Godiva’s freakishly long hair hid all the good parts anyway;

and a “Peeping Tom” looked out his window and was immediately blinded.

According to historians, these aspects of the classic story are all lies.
