Can Touching a Toad give me Warts or is it a Myth?

July 6, 2020 by Karen Hill

Warts in humans come from an internal virus that some of us carry and some of us don’t.

Warts can’t be contracted or passed along by touching any amphibian.

Although picking up a toad can be harmful to the toad, and it’s likely to pee on you, it won’t hurt you.

In other words, toads can’t give you warts.
