Is there a Year Zero in our calendar system?

February 16, 2020 by Karen Hill

Nope, there’s no year zero in our calendar system.

he year before Christ was theoretically born is referred to as 1 B.C.; the year he was born is counted as A.D. 1, with no Year Zero in between.

And if Jesus were born in A.D. 1, on December 25 (which he wasn’t), it would be mighty close to A.D. 2.

That just doesn’t make much sense.
