Which Is the Sunniest City In the United States?

Phoenix, Arizona, on average, experiences sunny or partly cloudy skies 81 percent of the days in a year.

As a result, Phoenix, Arizona is known as the sunniest city in the United States.

Phoenix, Arizona is the fifth most populated city in the United States, making it the most populous state capital.

Following Phoenix as sun capitals are El Paso, Texas (80 percent); Albuquerque, New Mexico (76 percent); Honolulu, Hawaii (74 percent); Sacramento, California (73 percent); Los Angeles and San Diego, California (72 percent); and San Francisco, California (71 percent).
