Windsor was actually the place, not the builder, and the town had been a place of kings since the Saxon days of old.
When that pesky Norman, William the Conqueror, took over England 900 years ago, he built what is now known as the Castle at Windsor.
The location, then as now, overlooked the River Thames and seemed an ideal spot for acting like a sovereign big shot.
Over the years, the British monarchs have agreed and continue to call it one of their many homes.
