The United States does not have more working women than any other country.

The United States is in sixth place, with about 71 percent of women working for pay.

Iceland, Sweden, Norway, Denmark, and Finland all have a higher percentage of women who work for pay.

Of the world’s 6 billion people, nearly 1 billion cannot read or sign their names.
