Blades has acted in numerous movies, including the 1985 hit Crossover Dreams and director Spike Lee’s 1990 release Mo’ Better Blues.
Blades is also a best-selling recording artist who won a Grammy Award for his album Ensetios, and ran for Panamian president in 1994.
