Who Were the Tuatha De Danann In Irish Celtic Mythology and Who Won the First Battle of Magh Tuireadh?

The Tuatha De Danann were a race of Irish Celtic gods who arrived in Ireland after the Firbolg had already settled there.

After a fierce battle, called the First Battle of Magh Tuireadh, the Tuatha De Danann defeated the Firbolg and drove them off the island.

The Firbolg settled in the Aran Islands off the western coast of Ireland, where they built the fort of Dun Aonghusa, which can still be seen today.

The Tuatha De Danann brought four magical items to Ireland, the Stone of Fal, which screamed when a rightful king of Ireland sat on it; the sword of Nuada, which always struck a fatal blow; the spear of Lugh, which guaranteed victory; and the Cauldron of Dagda, which provided an endless amount of food.
